Job Description

The Inventory Control Manager oversees inventory control and material flow across warehouse and production operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely availability of materials. Manages teams, maintains systems and processes (ERP/MRP), drives continuous improvement, tracks performance metrics, and ensures compliance with safety and audit requirements.

  • Manage daily inventory control and material flow operations across warehouse, stockroom, and production areas.
  • Develop and maintain processes to ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting and reconciliation activities.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning and Purchasing to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse layout, material handling, and inventory processes.
  • Ensure ERP/MRP system inventory transactions are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Supervise warehouse, inventory, receiving team and Stockroom personnel.
  • Establish and track KPIs such as inventory dollar accuracy, inventory tag accuracy, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and support internal/external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and material handling procedures.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory and material management activities.


Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required. Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field preferred.

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or material flow management.

Skills:
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and inventory control practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools.
  • Experience leading teams and managing employee performance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:
  • APICS/CPIM certification or other supply chain certification.
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience with cycle counting programs and inventory audit processes.
  • Forklift certification or knowledge of warehouse safety regulations


Pay Range $100,000 - $145,000 base salary depending on experience plus 12.5% annual bonus target.
