The Team and the RoleReporting to the Program Manager, the Inventory Control Manager arranges and accelerates flow of equipment, materials, parts, assemblies, and other materials according to schedules or priorities, compiles and keeps manual or computerized records, checks schedules and related information, and confers with others to determine requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material on the Test Operations Support Services (TOSS) contract. This position is located in Fallbrook, CA.
What You'll Do
- Provides inventory control services for all of ESED’s (Expeditionary Systems Engineering Division) test operations assets, consumables, and materials/assets.
- Performs requisition tracking and processes transactions.
- Receives, inspects, transports and stores assets.
- Maintains inventory systems and accountable records for test articles, equipment, materials, consumables, and weapons.
- Maintains and tracks ESED’s HAZAMAT to include an Authorized User List (AUL).
- Ensures Material Data Sheets are available for all HAZMAT material and that requested material meets current OSHA and environmental standards.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- HS Diploma required.
- Ten (10) years of experience providing practical working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies and guidelines in a U.S. Navy or similar DoD environment.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Travel Required 10% travel required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
- Has experience using Asset Panda.
- Has experience using Consolidated Memorandum Report (CMR).
- Military experience with a supply background.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
- The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
- The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities.
- The ability to operate heavy machinery and industrial tools with limited to no supervision. Examples may include but are not limited to: Electric/Diesel Forklift, CNC Milling Machine, Welding/Soldering, CAT III Overhead Crane, pallet jack, "Big Joe" stand-behind pallet lift mechanism, and more.
