Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with patient preparation, intra-operative, and post-interventional/surgical procedures.
  • Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, and specialized imaging equipment safely and effectively.
  • Manage supplies and devices necessary for procedures.
  • Monitor patient physiology during procedures to ensure safety and care.
  • Educate, advocate, and serve as a liaison for patients and their families.

Description

The Invasive Radiological Technologist provides fundamental technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, physiologic patient monitoring and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for safe and effective operation or radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison. Estimated pay range for this position is $34.08 - $44.30 / hour depending on experience.
