Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Radiology program required
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required
• Registered Radiography Technologist (ARRT) certification required
• Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (Texas Medical Board) required
• Minimum 6 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Strong knowledge of IR procedures, anatomy, physiology, and imaging principles required
• Experience with fluoroscopy, angiography, ultrasound, CT, and related IR technologies required
• Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification (VI-ARRT) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of routine and specialized IR procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Serve as a clinical and operational resource to support high-quality patient care
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure equipment functionality
• Perform IR procedures with technical proficiency and resolve workflow challenges
• Design and implement department-specific orientation programs for staff
• Develop preceptor programs and enhance teaching effectiveness
• Coordinate annual competency assessments and ensure regulatory compliance
• Identify performance gaps and deliver necessary training initiatives
• Lead professional development initiatives using data-driven insights
• Oversee student clinical experiences and support quality learning environments
• Participate in QA/QC processes and support performance improvement initiatives
• Provide administrative support including scheduling and onboarding
