You will be the International Trade Compliance Staff for the International Trade Compliance team. Our team is responsible for ensuring seamless international trade operations and providing compliance support across multiple programs.

What You Will Be Doing
As the International Trade Compliance Staff you will be responsible for interpreting complex regulatory requirements, managing license portfolios, and serving as an Empowered Official to support program teams.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Interpret and apply U.S. Department of State and Commerce trade regulations.
  • Manage and maintain export license portfolios.
  • Act as an Empowered Official for designated programs.
  • Provide compliance guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Support international business objectives across the MFC organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, law, political science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in international trade compliance.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of core U.S. export/import regulatory frameworks, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply government regulations to programs, products, processes, and business practices.
  • Experience determining export/import license requirements, managing license conditions and provisos, and ensuring ongoing license compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey the company's position to internal stakeholders and external government authorities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required U.S. security clearance.
  • Ability to meet U.S. person requirements as defined under ITAR and EAR.


Desired Skills

  • 7+ years of professional experience in international trade compliance.
  • Prior experience serving as an Empowered Official, including direct, independent authority to sign and submit export/import license applications or other requests for export/import authorization to U.S. government agencies.
  • Experience with U.S. government defense trade programs and processes, including Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), co-production or licensed production programs, and USG export policy bodies such as the Tri-Service Committee (TSC) and Critical Program Information (CPI)/Anti-Tamper (AT) requirements.
  • Experience conducting or supporting compliance investigations, including identifying, documenting, and resolving instances of potential noncompliance and voluntary disclosures.
  • Experience determining export control classifications, including familiarity with the United States Munitions List (USML) and the Commerce Control List (CCL).
  • Strong analytical and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple licenses, deadlines, and cross-functional stakeholders independently.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating closely with other team members and stakeholders.

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $111400.00 - $206800.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $100200.00 - $186200.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $89100.00 - $165500.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $80200.00 - $149000.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
