Who You Are...

As Internal Communications Leader, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing a comprehensive internal communications strategy to ensure cohesive and effective communication within the organization, supporting both hourly and salary populations. This role partners closely with leadership to align messaging, utilizes and optimizes a variety of communication channels, and drives employee engagement through data-driven insights and enterprise-wide communication planning. This role exercises independent judgment and discretion in developing and executing enterprise-wide communication strategies that impact business operations and employee engagement.

Internal Communications Strategy & Employee Engagement
  • Develops and directs an all-company internal communications strategy, exercising independent judgment in determining messaging priorities, channels, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensures consistent and aligned messaging across the organization, utilizing a wide range of platforms such as our communications platforms, email, company newsletter, internal intranet, etc.
  • Establishes and prioritizes the master company communications + engagement calendar, making strategic decisions on timing, sequencing, and organizational alignment of initiatives, ensuring visibility, coordination, and prioritization across all departments and initiatives.
  • Drives employee engagement across platforms, including the internal Intranet, Roundtables, and other communication channels.
  • Ensures internal communication materials are clear, accurate, and aligned with the organization's tone and branding.
  • Identifies and recommends enhancements to employee experience, internal branding, and recognition programs.
  • Develops communication strategies to promote and support all-company employee engagement initiatives and events, such as Safety Week and internal all-company events.
  • Distributes internal awards and survey opportunities to achieve target participation in programs like Top Workplace Programs, We Care Survey, and America's Most Loved Workplace.

Senior Leadership Team & Executive Messaging
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to develop messaging strategy, communication cadence, and enterprise-level narratives.
  • Leads the strategy and execution of Town Halls, roundtables, executive sessions, and Board of Directors communications, including slide development and presentation support, in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Leads the coordination of CEO roundtables & branch visits and employee input sessions to gather feedback and strengthen communication effectiveness.
  • Advises and guides department leaders in developing localized communication strategies aligned with enterprise messaging.
  • Ensures executive communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with company priorities and culture.

Platform Optimization & Analytics
  • Designs and oversees a monthly internal communications dashboard to measure effectiveness, reach, and engagement across all channels.
  • Analyzes and interprets communication data and engagement metrics to provide recommendations that influence communication strategy and organizational outcomes.
  • Applies data-driven insights to refine strategy, making independent decisions on messaging, channel optimization, and engagement approaches.

What You Need...
  • 5+ year(s) of experience in a communications-related role.
  • Strong writing, editing, grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  • Familiarity with creating and leveraging communication strategies across various platforms and channels.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and articulate main themes and messages with light guidance.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Writing/Editing, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
  • 5+ year(s) of experience in a communications or marketing-related role.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, and UKG.
  • Ability to analyze communication effectiveness and provide actionable insights.
