Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is adding an Intermediate Process Engineer (Mining) to our Process/Miningteam based in Vancouver, BC.

Your Role:
  • Provide expertise through the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design.
  • Interpret metallurgical test work results.
  • Develop process flow sheets.
  • Prepare process design criteria.
  • Prepare process calculations, PFDs, heat & material balances and P&IDs.
  • Size process equipment and develop specifications.
  • Prepare metallurgical simulations.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.
  • P.Eng. designation an asset.
  • Ability to sign off as a Qualified Person (QP) an asset.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in mineral processing, gold, copper, uranium and lithium ore processing preferred.
  • Experience with metallurgical simulation software such as MetSim, JKSimMet and/or Bruno.
  • Some operational experience in a mineral processing plant preferred.
  • Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.


The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000 per year. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
