Job DescriptionOverviewThe Buildings and Facilities group in Toronto provide mechanical and electrical design for all types of buildings in the commercial, institutional, industrial, and recreational sectors. Our clients and projects are varied and diverse. The office is a high energy workspace where we work closely as a team to meet the requirements and deadlines of our clients.
We are currently seeking an
Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This position is based in our North York, Ontario office.
Your role- Independent design of small and medium projects and portions of larger complex projects.
- Prepare design calculations. Prepare mechanical specifications.
- Prepare mechanical drawings, using AutoCAD or Revit.
- Design co-ordination with clients, consultant team, and municipalities.
- Obtain information from equipment suppliers and incorporate in designs and specifications.
- Provide technical directions to junior designers and CAD operators.
- Provide technical support during construction.
- Coordination with consultant team and client.
About you- College Diploma or University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must have 5+ experience in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design in the buildings industry.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with PEO.
- Good AutoCAD and BIM - Revit software experience.
- Familiar with heating/cooling load analysis and energy calculation software.
- An excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Effective interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to working in a team environment.

Additional informationExpected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $90,000 - $110,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
