Materials Engineering team in Vancouver, BC, where your curiosity for concrete, construction materials, and emerging technologies will help deliver resilient, high-performing infrastructure across British Columbia, Canada, and beyond.
In this early-career role, you'll gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of industrial, commercial, municipal, transportation, and residential projects. You'll work alongside experienced specialists in a collaborative, science-driven environment-building a strong technical foundation while contributing to innovation in materials engineering, including the growing application of data-driven and AI-enabled approaches.
Your Impact- Support materials engineering consulting for new construction, condition assessments, and rehabilitation of concrete and pavement infrastructure.
- Perform fieldwork, site reviews, and laboratory testing of concrete and aggregates in accordance with CSA and ASTM standards.
- Assist with concrete and pavement mix design, review, optimization, and durability or service-life assessments using analytical and data-driven methods.
- Contribute to the development of specifications, technical documentation, and contract administration activities.
- Prepare technical reports and proposals under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support structural repair, rehabilitation design, non-destructive evaluation, and innovation initiatives related to advanced materials and digital technologies.
The Skills That Set You Apart- A degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in materials engineering, construction materials, or a related field.
- Exposure to, or strong interest in, AI applications, data analytics, or digital tools in concrete technology, materials performance, or infrastructure assessment.
- Eligibility for registration as an EIT or P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
- Strong analytical thinking, technical writing, and communication skills, with the ability to apply emerging technologies to practical engineering challenges.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work in varied environmental conditions; a valid BC Driver's License is required.

$77,400 - $102,500MB & ON:
$70,600 - $97,200NB, NL, NS, PE & QC:
