Full Job Description
We are seeking Intermediate Electrical Engineer - Substations to add to our growing team. The ideal candidate will contribute to engineering and consulting services across the U.S., collaborating with senior engineers, project leads, and drafting teams. This role offers the opportunity to deepen technical expertise while supporting project execution, design development, and client coordination.

What you will do:
  • Support quality control reviews and apply engineering standards consistently
  • Assist in developing project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design safe and reliable substation systems
  • Execute P&C design tasks including schematics, wiring, and enclosure layouts
  • Participate in client meetings and provide technical support during construction
  • Conduct field inspections, compliance documentation, and factory acceptance testing
  • Learn from senior engineers and contribute to mentoring junior staff when appropriate

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 3-7 years of experience in substation P&C design
  • E.I.T. certification preferred; P.E. license a plus
  • Familiarity with NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and utility-specific standards
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD tools
  • Experience with relay setting software (e.g., SEL AcSELerator, ETAP, SKM, or ASPEN) is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and with a project team to take a project from start to successful completion
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for field support and client meetings
