Role Overview As the Interiors Manager, you'll support the Project Manager by overseeing day-to-day interior construction activities for renovations and new construction within multi-million-dollar, multifamily apartment communities. You'll serve as the on-site representative, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
Project Execution & Site Leadership
- Act as the on-site point of contact, reporting to the Project Manager and ensuring smooth daily construction operations.
- Coordinate and execute multifamily unit renovations; hospitality renovation experience is a plus.
- Support capital projects including exterior repairs, amenities, MEP upgrades, and common areas.
- Track, organize, and maintain on-site construction materials and inventory to avoid delays.
- Ensure work aligns with accepted building practices, applicable codes, and market pricing.
Planning, Scheduling & Controls
- Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules, construction meetings, RFIs, and change orders.
- Monitor construction progress against approved budgets and timelines, escalating risks as needed.
- Update and maintain internal construction trackers on a daily basis.
- Participate in diligence walks, assess property conditions, mark up site plans, and help estimate repair and renovation costs.
Contractor & Vendor Coordination
- Assist with procuring construction services and supporting vendor selection.
- Coordinate and inspect contractor work, ensuring quality, safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to complete work more safely, cost-effectively, or within existing contract scope.
Team & Culture Support
- Help create a welcoming, professional environment for new team members and vendors.
- Support efforts to identify and onboard strong contractor and employee talent as the team grows.
Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in construction, preferably within multifamily or residential renovation projects.
- Experience leading construction crews and driving work to completion.
- Working knowledge of construction equipment, materials, and sequencing.
- Proven project coordination skills across multiple stages of construction and renovation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost-tracking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Project).
