Position Summary:

Join Macgregor Associates Architects (MAA), an Invision Studio, as an Interior Project Manager supporting corporate office and workplace interiors within industrial fulfillment and distribution programs. This role requires an experienced interior design professional with a strong client-facing presence and a deep understanding of project delivery from programming and concept through construction. Senior Interior Project Manager title may be considered based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will hold a professional degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture and be NCIDQ Certified. They will have experience partnering directly with clients to understand business objectives, develop workplace design solutions, and lead projects through fast-paced delivery environments.

This position is ideal for a leader who enjoys remaining engaged in the design process. While responsible for managing projects, clients, and project teams, the successful candidate will also be willing to contribute directly to design development, documentation, finish selections, and project coordination as needed. Exceptional communication skills are essential for coordinating with clients, internal teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). You will oversee all phases of project delivery, including programming, space planning, finish and furniture coordination, construction documentation, and Construction Administration (CA).

Proficiency in Revit is required, with experience in Autodesk Forma/ Revit Cloud Worksharing is preferred. Familiarity with applicable building, accessibility, life safety, and energy codes is expected. The ability to manage multiple priorities while effectively communicating evolving client needs is critical.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Project Manager for corporate office and workplace interior projects supporting industrial fulfillment and distribution clients.
  • Lead client engagements to identify project goals, programming requirements, and workplace design strategies.
  • Manage all phases of project delivery, including programming, space planning, design development, finish selections, FF&E coordination, construction documentation, bidding support, and Construction Administration.
  • Develop and review interior construction documents while maintaining high standards of quality and technical accuracy.
  • Remain actively involved in project execution by assisting with production, detailing, finish documentation, specifications, and coordination as project workloads require.
  • Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, contractors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, finish approvals, punch walks, site visits, and project closeout activities.
  • Develop finish palettes, material specifications, furniture standards, and workplace design solutions that align with client branding, operational needs, and budgets.
  • Mentor junior designers while fostering a collaborative, team-first environment.
  • Collaborate in the development of interior design standards, template documents, and design criteria to improve consistency and efficiency across projects.
  • Balance multiple projects and shifting priorities while maintaining excellent client service and communication.

Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture required.
  • NCIDQ Certification required.
  • 7+ years of commercial interior design experience, with increasing responsibility in project management.
  • Experience designing and managing corporate office and workplace interiors; experience within industrial or distribution facilities is preferred.
  • Strong client relationship and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects while remaining hands-on with design and documentation.
  • Proficient in Revit; experience with Forma/ Revit Cloud Worksharing preferred.
  • Proficient in Bluebeam
  • Knowledge of building, accessibility, life safety, and energy codes applicable to interior environments.
  • Experience coordinating FF&E, finish specifications, and material selections.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and committed to contributing wherever needed to support project and team success.
