Interior Designer, NCIDQLocation: Chicago, IL or Washington D.C. (Chantilly, VA)
The Challenge:We are seeking an
Interior Designer, NCIDQ to join our growing design team in our Chicago, IL or Washington D.C. (Chantilly, VA) office.
Principle areas of responsibility are:- Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules in CAD software.
- Prepare quality presentations utilizing SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop and other similar software.
- Prepare construction documents in coordination with multi-discipline project team.
- Select interior design materials and finishes based on project requirements.
- Prepare color boards for client review.
- Manage physical samples.
- Travels onsite to project fields for client meetings and site inspections and visits: ~25% requirements
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in interior design from an accredited university
- 5+ years of design experience, with demonstrated ability for space planning.
- NCIDQ Certification is a plus and preferred.
- Proficient using Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience using SketchUp, Enscape and Photoshop preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
- Experience with facilities for clients in the Federal Government sector is highly desirable.
Certifications & Licensures of the Position:- NCIDQ: required.
- LEED Green Associate: preferred.
Salary Base:This full-time position as an Interior Designer, level III, has an annual base range of $74,000-$113,000. This position is eligible for overtime in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. The actual hourly rate is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
