Responsibilities
  • Lead patent and trademark litigation in federal courts, before the PTAB, and in cross-border disputes
  • Manage and develop global IP portfolios for technology and life sciences clients, aligning legal strategies with business objectives
  • Design and execute IP enforcement, licensing, and monetization strategies to maximize value
  • Negotiate technology transfer agreements, complex licensing deals, and conduct IP due diligence for M&A and other strategic transactions
  • Draft and prosecute patent and trademark applications across diverse technical fields
  • Provide strategic advice on freedom-to-operate, validity, and infringement matters
  • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and executive leadership to shape IP strategy in line with market goals
  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to building the firm's global IP capabilities

Requirements
  • J.D. degree and 2-6 years of experience in intellectual property law
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • Admission to the USPTO and at least one state bar
  • Proven track record handling complex patent and trademark litigation and prosecution
  • Deep technical fluency across software, hardware, and/or life sciences technologies
  • Expertise in global IP portfolio management, licensing, and enforcement strategies
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience advising both emerging companies and large multinational corporations
