As a Systems Engineer you will serve as a key interface between the requirements, design, subsystem engineering, system engineering, and production teams. In this role you will: • Perform systems integration, test planning and implementation • Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility • Support test activities on site • Perform data reviews and provide feedback to test and integration teams • Find opportunities for build flow and test efficiencies Basic Qualifications • Excellent leadership skills and whole systems thinking • Breadth of knowledge and work experience implementing systems engineering standard methodologies and lessons learned • Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions which may include: a.) System trade studies and/or System modeling b.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development c.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification d.) Test planning and implementation with an understanding of all the interdependencies e.) Design reviews Desired skills • Validated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors • System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.) • Experience with operations design • Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for implementation on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data • Demonstrated experience of good judgment and programmatic implementation vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, shape meaningful relationships with team members and deliver consensus among peers • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change • Active Secret security clearance with investigation in the last 5 years • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. National Pay Statement Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
