Job ID: 115581Job SummaryLeonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Integrated Logistics Support Manager (ILSM). This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO facility and will have the option to work an in person or hybrid schedule. This position is responsible for supporting all logistics efforts as well as leading a team of logisticians, trainers, technical writers, and field support personnel to completion of projects. This support will be applied to a variety of military programs including navigation systems, land systems, communication and control systems and other programs.
Job Responsibilities- Responsible for independently leading all project logistics efforts including monitoring budget, cost, schedule and performance.
- Lead a team of Logistics Engineers, Trainers, Technical Publication Writers, and Field Support personnel to the completion of complex projects.
- Forecasts and plans logistics assigned project team workloads, budgets, and tasks.
- Ensure compliance and quality with all project logistics requirements based on customer needs.
- Coordinate logistics support program activities in the areas of spares, technical data, test equipment, field service, training, field and in-house modification programs, technical manual development, provisioning, and change control with customers.
- Analyze engineering change documentation to determine applicability and scope of effort on logistics support activities.
- Mentor and coach less experienced logisticians.
- Attend engineering, customer, marketing, and program management meetings to provide support planning guidance and requirements.
- Present complex logistics support and system design interrelation topics ranging from informal one on one discussions to executive level and large audiences.
- Support up to 20% travel for logistics demonstrations, technical manual validation, government testing, program reviews, and customer/supplier visits. Travel may range from a few days to several months at locations such as Yuma Proving Grounds (AZ), Sterling Heights (MI), and Redstone Arsenal (AL), depending on event complexity.
- Participate in preparing proposal inputs concerning product support areas.
- Finalize requested task/man-hour estimates from submittals of the internal logistics groups and forwards through the appropriate signature cycle with necessary justification.
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.
Qualifications- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
- Bachelor's degree in science or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience working in Logistics Support.
- Experience leading and guiding a team.
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to make decisions and handle complex issues in a timely manner.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel (CONUS and OCONUS) up to 20% of the time.
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
The salary range for this position is $93,121.00/year- $125,713.00/year for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
