The Opportunity

This role is for a Pursuit Manager that is focused on the Integrated Facilities Solution Portfolio (Data Centers and Industrial Manufacturing). In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the management (preparation, assembly and submittal) of proposals. Proposals under management may range from small to large scope and generally have medium to high-risk profiles. You will be expected to manage multiple pursuits of differing revenue, contracting structures, complexities and schedules at a given time.

The Team

Professionals in Pursuit Manager roles have regular opportunities to interface with Segment, Solution and Operations leadership, while gaining exposure to all client types, delivery methods, contracting models and project risk profiles. Professionals in this role interface directly with Client Account Manager, Project Director and Project Manager, as equals, to develop the proposal execution strategy, schedule, assemble the proposal response team, and develop the project execution plan, value propositions and win strategy. Execution of this role is intended to prepare professionals for accelerated career growth with the skills and experiences required to lead complex services and EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead proposal development from assignment to contract signing.
  • Responsible for budget, schedule, and quality of assigned proposals.
  • Ensure Company Wide Authority Matrix (CWAM) compliance and adherence with proposal process procedures such as: Opportunity Process Procedure, Cost Reviews, Proposal Review Boards, among others.
  • Participate in Bid/No Bid or Screenings when requested by Proposal Leaders.
  • Collaborate with the sales manager and project management to develop and implement the proposal win strategy.
  • Determine which roles are required for pursuit team and identify professionals to support.
  • Develop proposal budget needs based on scope and with team input as warranted, utilizing current version of department template. Analyze against financial metrics and request budget. Monitor budget, communicate budget status to team, and close proposal budgets at time of submittal and again at re-submittal if reopened for BAFO/Shortlist/Price Refresh efforts.
  • Facilitate proposal kick-off meeting and status meetings.
  • Develop and manage overall proposal schedule, maintain and direct-action items.
  • Ensure project management participation in proposal process (project execution plan, scope review, risk mitigation, commercial terms, etc.).
  • Drive collaboration between pursuit team members and other shareholders.
  • Ensure accountability across your team; meet deadlines and drive schedule to achieve delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate scope development and/or technical review of RFP.
  • Continually evaluate risks of the project based on known and unknown information in collaboration with the team.
  • Drive review of Risk Register by Project Manager and Project Director, taking into consideration Solution and Client Segment perspective.
  • Understand risks and ensure mitigation is set and documented and ensuring the current version of the department R&O/Risk Register is utilized.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of engineering, project execution or technical pursuit management experience
