Project Overview:

Fab 62 is an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility for Intel Corporation, located at Intel's Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. As part of this work, the M&T team is responsible for delivering the engineering, procurement, and construction scope required to complete and finish-out a leading-edge chipmaking facility - a highly demanding environment where precision, cleanliness, schedule certainty, and coordination across thousands of craft and professional personnel are essential to success. The project supports the continued expansion of domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity, contributing to a more resilient technology supply chain while creating significant opportunity for the local Arizona workforce. Job Summary:

Assigned to a field engineering organization supporting insulation scope. Responsible for planning, coordination, and execution support of insulation construction activities within assigned area. Ensures insulation work is performed safely, in accordance with design, and aligned with quality and project requirements. Supports superintendents, craft professionals, subcontractors, and project teams by providing technical direction, work planning support, quantity tracking, quality verification, and coordination of insulation installations, turnover, and issue resolution. #LI-CL1

Major Responsibilities:
• Interprets insulation drawings, specifications, and installation standards; ensures installations meet thermal, cryogenic, acoustic, and personnel protection requirements.
• Supports development of IWPs, short interval plans, and sequencing to align insulation activities with overall project construction execution.
• Coordinates daily with superintendents, subcontractors, engineering, and other disciplines to resolve field issues and maintain progress.
• Tracks installed quantities, supports material management, and provides accurate progress measurement and reporting.
• Supports inspections, surveillance, NCR resolution, and ensures quality and turnover documentation are complete and accurate.
• Monitors subcontractor performance, identifies and corrects risks to safety, quality, and schedule, and supports corrective actions.
• Supports system turnover, walkdowns, and commissioning readiness by ensuring insulation scope is complete and aligned with project requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.


Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of industrial insulation systems including thermal, cryogenic, acoustic, and personnel protection applications during installation.
• Understanding of insulation materials, jacketing systems, vapor barriers, and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, isometrics, and IWPs.
• Understanding of construction sequencing and coordination with mechanical completion and turnover milestones.
• Experience supporting inspections, quality requirements, and turnover documentation processes.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills working in a timely manner with engineering, craft professionals, and subcontractors to resolve installation nonconformances.
