Controls & Instrumentation LeadLocation: Cincinnati, OHWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
We're looking for an experienced Controls & Instrumentation Lead to help lead and manage a project scope. This role will work directly with the clients to understand the project needs and help manage and direct the execution of the engineering deliverables.
- Manage discipline aspects of projects from inception through execution
- Develop and document the scope of work
- Create and update schematics, termination drawings, or loop sheets for instrument wiring
- Design custom control panels to meet the project need
- Size and specify instrumentation including pressure and temperature transmitters, flow meters, modulating control valves, regulators, on/off valves, and actuators
- Create datasheets and work with vendors to get quotes for instrumentation and valves for various applications
- Coordinate with engineering team to select the appropriate devices
- Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met
- Develop and track project costs
- Identify, document, and communicate changes to scope
- Identify and effectively respond to clients issues and needs
- Ensure value is provided to the client and develop & earn their trust
- Review and manage all project deliverables
- Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the project
- PLC & HMI Programming

- B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley programming.
- 6-15 years of related experience in project engineering, including EPC or engineering firm experience
- Experienced Controls engineer on major capital projects from the study phase, detailed design, construction support, check out and start-up.
- Oversees project execution to ensure completion and client satisfaction
- Demonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusion
- Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering process
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster positive client relationships
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
