Instrumentation and Controls Lead III- Extensive experience in defining and managing pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for instrumentation systems.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate workloads, review standards, and implement procedures across all project phases.
- Deep knowledge of instrumentation design standards, safety codes, and control system architectures, including P&IDs, control narratives, and instrument datasheets.
- Proven expertise in selecting and applying hardware such as pressure, temperature, level instruments, control valves, and safety devices.
- Competence in performing technical reviews, participating in HAZOP/LOPA sessions, and supporting quality and constructability reviews.
- Demonstrated experience in developing detailed schedules and executing complex acceptance testing.
Required Skills:- Proven supervisory and project management experience in instrumentation and control systems.
- Advanced degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software tools including SAP, Analytics for Excel, Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills for data collection, interpretation, and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English for technical and business documentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt to changing project priorities.
Nice to Have Skills:- Familiarity with ISA data sheet specifications and hardware selection for fire/gas detection and shutdown systems.
- Experience supporting upstream production facilities or capital project management.
- Additional certifications in instrumentation, process safety, or project management.
Preferred Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is required; an advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Significant hands-on experience in upstream oil & gas projects, commissioning, or related fields, typically 7+ years.
Other Requirements:- Willingness to support project activities that may include site visits, meetings, or coordination efforts.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams.
