Account Director

Position Description

The Account Director is responsible for driving strategic growth through the development of new client relationships, expansion of existing accounts, and advancement of qualified business opportunities. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients and collaborates closely with operational, preconstruction, and marketing teams to position PARIC for long-term success.

The Account Director focuses on identifying opportunities, understanding client goals, developing relationship strategies, and advancing pursuits that align with PARIC's growth objectives. This position plays a key role in strengthening market presence, fostering strategic partnerships, and delivering an exceptional client experience throughout the project lifecycle.

The Account Director partners closely with Business Unit Leaders, Operations, Preconstruction, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to ensure business development initiatives are aligned with company goals and client needs.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Relationships
• Identify, develop, and pursue strategic client relationships aligned with PARIC's growth objectives.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and industry partners.
• Develop and execute relationship plans for priority accounts.
• Gain an understanding of client business drivers, operational challenges, and long-term goals.
• Represent PARIC at industry events, networking opportunities, and community engagements.

Opportunity Development & Pursuit Strategy
• Identify and qualify opportunities based on strategic alignment, relationship potential, and business objectives.
• Facilitate Go/No-Go discussions to evaluate pursuit opportunities and resource allocation.
• Develop SWOT analyses and pursuit strategies for targeted opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create client-specific win strategies.
• Support proposal, presentation, and interview preparation efforts.

Market Development
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
• Support development and execution of business development and go-to-market strategies.
• Identify opportunities to increase PARIC's visibility and strengthen its market presence.
• Develop strategic partnerships with industry professionals, consultants, trade partners, and community organizations.

Client Experience & Project Support
• Maintain active engagement with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as an internal advocate for client needs and expectations.
• Support seamless transitions between business development, preconstruction, and operations teams.
• Participate in client feedback initiatives and support PARIC's Raving Fan process.
• Promote exceptional service and long-term client satisfaction.

CRM & Business Planning
• Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and pipeline management within CRM systems.
• Provide business development reporting, forecasting, and pipeline updates.
• Support annual business planning and growth initiatives.
• Assist leadership in identifying market opportunities and business development priorities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of business development processes and strategies.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience in business development, client development, account management, sales, construction, professional services, or a related industry.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Strong communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop pursuit strategies and collaborate across multiple teams.
• Experience utilizing CRM systems and pipeline management tools.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
