Full Job Description
Position: Installation & Integration Engineer
Level: Junior to Mid

Location: Newport, Rhode Island

Telework: Hybrid remote/onsite, with typical set schedule at Government facility

Travel:
Salary: $80k - $95k

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Installation & Integration Engineer to support submarine network modernization efforts. In this role, you will prepare installation kits using Government Furnished Equipment and perform software installations onboard submarines in accordance with approved execution plans. You will also migrate legacy data, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and deliver daily installation status reports while supporting deployments.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare installation kits using Government provided tools and materials, complete the required installation checklist, and package everything for shipment in accordance with NUWCDIVNPT mailroom processes.
  • Install the software portion of approved packages onboard submarines following SHIPALT, TRIDENT Installation Drawings, or EC packages.
  • Migrate ships' forcedata from legacy systems to the new software environment during each installation.


  • Troubleshoot installation issues that arise during onboard work and resolve them efficiently to keep the schedule on track.
  • Produce daily submarine network installation reports that summarize tasks completed and current statuses.
  • Support multi-site deployments by executing installations concurrently at different geographic locations as required by the program

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2yearsexperienceinstalling network systems
  • Active Secret clearance required with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI access and work in classified environments including SIPRNet and NATO systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in RHEL, Windows Server, Windows Client, PowerShell, DoD PKI,VMWare, Ansible, Cisco NetworkHardware, Cisco Virtual Appliances,NETSEC, VEEAM, Aruba and Cloud computing
  • Experience migrating Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and UserData
  • Experience with submarine specific on-board installations
