DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Inspection Services Manager plays a critical role in supporting Gordon Brothers' inspection, trading, and lending activities. With appropriate training on Gordon Brothers' inspection processes, this individual will travel extensively to support paid inspection work, provide material support for specialty inspections, particularly within oil & gas and other complex equipment categories, and assist broadly with deal operations. The role requires a blend of technical aptitude, operational execution, and strong collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesInspection & Field Operations- Conduct and support paid inspection assignments across a variety of asset classes, following established inspection methodologies and reporting standards.
- Travel to client sites, warehouses, yards, and field locations to perform inspections, audits, and asset verifications.
- Provide hands-on support for specialty inspections, including oil & gas equipment and other complex or industrial assets.
- Ensure inspection findings are accurately documented, photographed, and reported in a timely manner.
Deal & Transaction Support- Assist deal teams with inspections related to trading, lending, and advisory engagements.
- Support pre-deal diligence, ongoing collateral monitoring, and post-deal inspection requirements.
- Coordinate inspection logistics with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors as needed.
- Contribute to asset disposition and sales efforts by providing inspection insights and field-level intelligence.
Operational & Process Support- Adhere to Gordon Brothers' inspection protocols, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Help improve inspection processes, tools, and reporting practices through feedback and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records, inspection data, and supporting documentation.
- Represent Gordon Brothers professionally with clients, counterparties, and partners in the field.
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in inspections, asset management, field operations, industrial services, or a related role.
- Experience with industrial, heavy equipment, or oil & gas assets strongly preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (often on short notice).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess asset condition, completeness, and usability.
- Comfort working independently in the field while collaborating closely with deal teams.
- Proficiency with inspection reporting tools, photography, and basic data management.
