Job Summary:
THE ROLEInsomniac is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to support various key operations for F1 apparel including month-end close, budgeting and forecast, reporting and analysis, and strategy. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have knowledge of GAAP, have strong communication skills and be highly organized. This position reports to the Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform month-end close tasks (journal entries, inventory analysis, event flash, etc.) in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements
- Oversee financial statement management, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis for product licensing for all sales channels for F1 apparel
- Drive results to improve profitability through variance analysis, cost control, and strategic planning
- Key strategic business partner to leadership team by advising on growth initiatives, margin pricing strategies, and ROI
- Lead annual budget process and long-range planning forecast
- Manage all aspects of the P&L by tracking revenue and costs
- Analyze key operational metrics
- Develop process improvements to streamline reporting, forecast, and licensing royalty reporting
- Supervisor of accounting coordinator
- Assist with ad hoc projects
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA a plus
- 8-10+ years of experience in accounting or/and finance in CPG and retail required
- Experience mentoring staff and leading cross-functional teams
- Advanced technical skills, including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data visualization tools
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT- Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
- Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
