About the Team

The Insights & Reporting Analyst role sits within the Portfolio Performance & Analytics Group in Equipment Finance-a highly collaborative and growing function providing key data, reporting and analysis to key stakeholders within Equipment Finance as well as partners across the bank. The group is a part of a broader Equipment Finance Portfolio Performance & Analytics team which includes a separate data management group and a modeling group.

About the Role

This position sits at the intersection of data, analytics, and business insight, supporting key decision-making across the Equipment Finance portfolio.

Created in response to increasing demand for analytics, reporting, and dashboard development, this role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a high-visibility, growing function.

You will play a critical role in scaling and enhancing Power BI reporting capabilities while contributing to deeper analytics across credit risk and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Dashboard Development
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Support ongoing portfolio monitoring, including delinquencies and loss trends
  • Produce executive-level reporting materials using Power BI and PowerPoint
  • Enhance self-service reporting capabilities for business stakeholders

Analytics & Insights
  • Perform credit risk analytics, including delinquency and loss trend analysis
  • Support expanding efforts in end-to-end profitability analytics across the portfolio
  • Interpret and contextualize data to provide meaningful, actionable insights
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical solutions

Data Management & Integration
  • Work with complex, multi-source datasets in a non-standardized environment
  • Aggregate, clean, and integrate data from disparate systems
  • Navigate data ambiguity and ensure accuracy and usability of outputs

Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Credit Risk, Underwriting, Corporate Operations, and Technology teams
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that improve reporting and analytics capabilities

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Four to five years of data analysis experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong experience with Power BI and dashboard development
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with complex, multi-source datasets
  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret results for insights
  • Comfort working independently to solve data challenges
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with senior business leaders, project sponsors, and cross-functional stakeholders, while effectively communicating with business teams, development teams, end users, and product owners
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Location expectations: This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week. This position can be located in West Side Flats, St. Paul, Gresham, OR, or Marshall, MN.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00
