Position Summary
The Inside Sales Engineer provides technical and commercial support for our Performance Pneumatics product line to customers, distributors, and the outside sales team. This role collaborates with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Care to respond to inquiries, deliver application support, and guide customers through product selection. The Inside Sales Engineer serves as a key resource for product knowledge, markets, and value propositions, managing inside sales owned accounts, qualifying leads, recommending solutions, and preparing quotes. This role combines strong engineering aptitude with customer-facing communication skills to help drive revenue growth and ensure exceptional customer experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsiveness: Respond to customer and sales inquiries, qualify opportunities, and provide timely technical and commercial responses.
- Proactive Communication: Maintain regular communication with customers to move opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Application Knowledge: Provide product recommendations based on performance requirements, specifications, and industry standards.
- Driving Growth: Ensure structured engagement with existing accounts to maintain and grow revenue; identify growth opportunities by asking qualifying questions to unlock potential
- Leads Qualification: Respond to incoming leads from prospective customers by asking qualifying questions to understand customer application, opportunity size and recommend appropriate product and commercial path.
- Technical & Commercial Support: Prepare and deliver accurate quotations, proposals, and technical documentation based on customer requirements.
- Provide specification assistance to customers and the commercial team by identifying the best technical solution for the customer’s application to ensure optimal efficiency and overall system reliability.
- Collaborate with applications engineering to develop new solutions for unique challenges in the markets we serve.
- Collaborate with outside sales and distribution to develop high potential customer account opportunities and develop a sales funnel.
- Track and report on high value leads and opportunities. Work with Product Management to highlight new business opportunities and identify gaps in product coverage.
- Support outside sales with application data, pricing, lead times, and project follow-up.
- Maintain CRM records, update account, opportunity, and forecast information.
- Periodically attend trade shows and / or visit customers and distributors to stay close to the market.
- Additional projects and duties as necessary.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent industry experience).
- 1–5 years’ experience in inside sales, technical support, or application engineering—preferably with rotating equipment, blowers, compressors, or other industrial machinery.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fluid dynamics, and performance curves.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and technical data sheets.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $76,200.00 - $114,200.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
