Job DescriptionSeeking an experienced
Inpatient Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services in an acute-care hospital setting. The pharmacist will be responsible for medication preparation, dispensing, verification, medication management, inventory control, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities : - Supervise, coordinate, and participate in pharmaceutical services related to the preparation and dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Maintain accountability for medications and pharmaceutical supplies prepared and dispensed.
- Provide medication-related information to healthcare providers.
- Maintain and update pharmaceutical, formulary, drug usage, and compatibility information.
- Perform medication order review and verification.
- Compound, package, and label medications, ointments, solutions, and bulk pharmaceutical supplies.
- Prepare IV medications and sterile compounds.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and reorder medications and supplies.
- Perform dosing and pharmacokinetic calculations.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
- Collaborate with pharmacy and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience
- Active Arizona Pharmacist License in good standing
- IV Admixture Certification required
- Sterile Compounding Certification (APCE) required
- Experience with IV preparation and compounding
- PharmD or RPh accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Meditech experience highly preferred
- Experience with inpatient/acute-care pharmacy
- Knowledge of IV piggyback, IV push medications, sterile technique, Pyxis, pharmacokinetic dosing, renal dosing, and warfarin dosing
