Responsibilities

  • Ensure coordinated delivery of patient care per established standards and practices
  • Contribute to hospital's philosophy and objectives while supervising nursing staff
  • Assist CNO in managing staff schedules
  • Support DON/ADON in evaluating and implementing required training for staff
  • Conduct patient nursing assessments and participate in Treatment Team meetings as needed

Responsibilities

NURSE MANAGER - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH



Shift: Full-Time Salaried Exempt - Monday-Friday with weekend rounding

Salary: Exempt salary will be based on education and years of nursing and supervisory experience

Your role and responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives.
  • Assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision of House Supervisors, RN's and MHTs.
  • Assist the CNO in filing, tracking and implementing staff scheduling.
  • Assisting the DON/ADON in evaluating, reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training events with respect to all RN//MHT staff required training.
  • Also provides patient nursing assessments and participates in Treatment Team meetings on as-needed basis
Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications will include:
  • Valid Utah RN license or license authorized to practice in Utah
  • ASN REQUIRED, BSN highly preferred
  • (3-5) years' of experience working in a psych/detox inpatient setting required, (5-8) years' experience preferred
  • A passion for helping others rediscover their "hope"
  • Knowledge of psychiatric and medical nursing procedures is essential
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check & drug screen
