Qualifications

• Master's in Advanced Clinical Practice or related post-masters program for Nurse Practitioners; or an accredited Physician Assistant program with certification.
• Minimum of 2 years prior experience, ideally in primary or urgent care settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon start.
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Virginia; must meet additional supervisory and prescribing requirements.
• Ability to complete third-party payor credentialing and enroll as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor.
• Successful completion of Medical Staff credentialing for clinical privileges.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct primary medical care to patients remotely.
• Develop differential diagnoses for patients' conditions.
• Order necessary laboratory studies for accurate assessments.
• Administer and prescribe treatments appropriately to patients.
• Promote healthy lifestyles through patient education on diet and disease prevention.
• Document patient information in the EPIC system accurately and timely.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives within the team.
