The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an Innovation and AI Technology Lead to provide technical leadership for innovations in enterprise systems, network and Cloud operations supporting the Bureau of Diplomatic Security. This position will require an ability to introduce innovations in systems, network, Cloud and Data modernization and enterprise infrastructure engineering activities.

The successful candidate will serve as the senior technical advisor for architecture, design, engineering, performance, security, and operational resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive technological innovation and strategic planning, provide thought leadership, advise on complex technical challenges, identify emerging technologies, develop strategies to integrate them into operations, and align technology initiatives with organizational goals and operations

  • Lead enterprise architecture, enterprise application integration, infrastructure engineering, business process reengineering and modernization efforts.

  • Support Agile methodology, DevSecOps platform and tools, data analytics, data migration and cloud migration and Artificial Intelligence (AI) activities

  • Direct Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) for systems and network operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning activities.

  • Support cybersecurity compliance, and continuous monitoring initiatives.

  • Guide on the adoption and integration of innovative solutions, including cloud, AI, and automation technologies and develop roadmaps for technology adoption, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. 

  • Lead systems and network architecture and design reviews and technology refresh planning including innovating emerging technology insertion such as AI for improving operations efficiency.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and market research for evaluating emerging technologies and provide recommendations on innovations and improvements to the Government.

  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture and design standards, policies, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technology solutions address operational challenges and improve efficiency

Qualifications:

Required –

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 10+ years of technology strategy, innovation, experience with a focus on emerging technologies.

  • Experience supporting large federal enterprise environments.

  • Deep expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, VPN technologies, routing and switching, Azure and AWS clouds, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation technologies

  • Experience with DevSecOps, systems, network and Cloud engineering, Infrastructure, data and systems monitoring tools and automation

  • Experience supporting NIST, RMF, FedRAMP and federal cybersecurity requirements.

  • Active Top-Secret clearance.

Preferred –

  • ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or cloud-specific credentials (e.g., AWS, Azure), CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent certification.

  • Prior experience supporting the Department of State Bureau of Diplomatic Security and/or Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT) is highly desirable.

  • Experience supporting both classified and unclassified networks.

  • Cloud engineering experience in Azure and AWS GovCloud environments.
