Full Job Description
Initiatives Manager

(Remote Canada)

This role has a 30% travel requirement across Canada for client site visits

The Role

We are looking for an Initiatives Manager to drive ProLender's module expansion strategy. This is a growth-focused, customer-facing role that sits at the intersection of product management, business development, and financial analysis. You will work directly with our existing ProLender credit union customers to identify unmet needs, build the business case for new add-on modules, and manage those modules from concept through to commercialization.

Digital Lender and Ideal Lender are current examples of the types of modules this role will drive. You will be supported by a dedicated developer and QA team, but you are accountable for everything else: the customer discovery, the financial model, the go/no-go decision, and delivery to market.

This is not a pure product manager role. We need someone who thinks commercially, can build a credible IRR model, and can hold their own in front of a credit union executive.

Responsibilities:

Customer Discovery & Opportunity Identification
• Meet regularly with ProLender's existing credit union customer base to surface unmet needs and module opportunities
• Qualify and prioritize opportunities based on market size, adoption potential, and fit with the existing platform
• Build relationships with key contacts at credit unions who can serve as design partners and early adopters

Business Case & Financial Modeling
• Develop a business plan and financial model for each module initiative
• Present go/no-go recommendations to senior leadership at defined stage gates
• Track initiative performance against plan and escalate risks proactively

Initiative Execution
• Define module scope, requirements, and success criteria in collaboration with development and QA
• Manage timelines and resource coordination across the development and QA team
• Own the commercialization plan: pricing, packaging, GTM approach, and customer onboarding
• Report initiative progress to senior management on a regular cadence

Experience:
• 3-6 years in a product management, business development, or customer-facing commercial role
• Experience working with both customers and internal technical teams
• Background in financial services, fintech, or software sold to regulated industries is a strong asset
• Familiarity with credit unions or Canadian banking is a plus but not required

Skills & Attributes:
• Strong business acumen - you can connect a customer problem to a financial opportunity
• Comfortable building and presenting IRR/ROI financial models
• Entrepreneurial mindset; you're comfortable with ambiguity and can drive without being pushed
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - equally effective with credit union executives and internal developers
• Project management discipline - you track details and hold others accountable
• Lean Startup / stage-gate thinking is a plus

Education:
• 4-year degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

FLSA Designation (US Only):

Exempt

Salary Range:
The estimated base salary range for this role is USD$99,000.00 - USD$121,000.00 per year. We include salary ranges in job postings only where required by applicable pay transparency laws, based on the jurisdictions in which the role may be performed. The posted range is a good faith estimate and reflects factors that are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary based on job-related factors, including work location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant considerations.

Other Compensation (US Only):

This role will also be eligible for participation in a Company profit sharing bonus plan. Plan details will be provided to you upon hire.

Benefits (US Only):

Full time employees will also be eligible for enrollment in a wide range of choices of benefits , including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, short/long term disability, 401(k) participation (with company match).

Time off (US Only):

The Company provides a minimum of 10 days of vacation for new employees , sick time based on state requirements, 8 Company-paid holidays and 2 personal holidays per year.
