Titre du poste: Ingénieur mécanique - Ingénierie des installations d'essais

Au sein de P&WC, l'équipe d'ingénierie des installations d'essais est chargée de concevoir, construire et adapter les bancs d'essais pour tous les types de moteurs ainsi que leurs composants dans le but de répondre aux exigences rigoureuses de chaque essai moteur. Les équipements mis en service par notre équipe technique sont essentiels à la certification de nouveaux moteurs et à la validation de leur performance avant la livraison aux clients.

En tant qu'ingénieur mécanique vous vous rapporterez au gestionnaire principal de l'équipe d'ingénierie des installations d'essais. Vous possédez d'excellentes connaissances dans le domaine du génie mécanique et êtes attiré par la gestion de projets. Vous êtes débrouillard et aimez relever des défis techniques. Vous avez envie de mettre à profit votre savoir-faire et votre imagination en proposant des solutions innovatrices qui contribueront à l'amélioration de nos systèmes d'essais.Vous valorisez le travail d'équipe et souhaitez partager votre passion pour la mécanique.

Le poste est à temps plein du lundi au vendredi selon des horaires flexibles à Longueuil et s'effectue exclusivement en présentiel.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ?
  • Réaliser des projets d'adaptation des bancs d'essais et de leurs équipements associés en fonction des besoins des différents programmes moteurs.
  • Préparer les devis pour les divers équipements et systèmes requis.
  • Participer aux revues de conception et serez appuyés par nos concepteurs pour la production de modèles et dessins de fabrication.
  • Tenir compte des diverses exigences en matière d'environnement, santé-sécurité
  • Effectuer des exercices d'analyse de risques lorsque requis.
  • Assurer que les normes internes et les leçons apprises soient incorporées à vos projets.
  • Approuver les documents d'ingénierie produits sous votre supervision.
  • Superviser l'assemblage des équipements avec notre équipe d'entretien ou chez nos fournisseurs externes.
  • Diriger la mise en service des nouveaux équipements.


Qu'est-ce qu'il vous faut pour réussir?

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Test Facilities Engineering

Within P&WC, the Test Facilities Engineering team is responsible for designing, building, and adapting test cells for all engine families and their components to meet the demanding requirements of each engine test. Equipment commissioned by our technical crew is essential for engine certification and performance validation before delivery to customers.

As a mechanical designer, you will be reporting to the senior manager of the Test Facilities Engineering team.

You have excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering, and you are attracted by project management. You are resourceful and enjoy taking on technical challenges. You want to use your expertise and your imagination in bringing innovative solutions that will help improve our test systems. You pay attention to details and rely on the quality of your work. You value teamwork and want to share your passion for mechanics.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Carry out test cell adaptation projects along with their associated equipment according to the needs of the various engine programs
  • Prepare specifications for the various equipment and systems required
  • You will participate in design reviews and will be supported by our designers to produce models and manufacturing drawings.
  • Consider the various environmental, health and safety requirements
  • Be called upon to perform risk analysis activities when required.
  • Ensure that internal standards and lessons learned are incorporated into your projects.
  • Approve the engineering documents produced under your supervision.
  • Supervise the assembly of equipment with our maintenance crew or at our external suppliers.
  • Lead new equipment commissioning


What do you need to be successful?

Basic requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 15 to 20 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in project management
  • Member of the " Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec "
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English

Assets
  • Knowledge of gas turbine test cells
  • Experience with hydraulic dynamometers
  • Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
  • Knowledge of MS Project


This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
