L'Ingénieur(e) sera responsable de la conception des systèmes auxiliaires électriques et de monitoring associé aux alternateurs hydroélectriques pour les projets de base installée. Il ou elle sera également chargée d'apporter un soutien technique à la chaîne d'approvisionnement et aux activités sur site.

Responsabilités principales

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) ingénieur(e) électrique expérimenté en systèmes auxiliaires (Instrumentation & Protection électrique) possédant de solides compétences en conception. En tant qu'ingénieur expérimenté, vous serez responsable de ce qui suit :

  • Visite du site pour collecter les détails des instruments existants, du routage des conduits, des emplacements des boites de jonctions et des caractéristiques des dispositifs de protection.
  • Étudier le contrat, faire l'analyse du contrat, la revue de conception de la portée des travaux d'instrumentation et de protection des systemes auxiliaires.
  • Préparer les schémas de câblage électrique, liste d'instruments, etc.
  • Livrer des mandats aux dessinateurs pour la réalisation de plans électriques;
  • Collaborer avec les ingénieurs en mécanique pour garantir que la conception est exécutable.
  • Réaliser la conception détaillée des instruments, de la disposition des câbles, de la boîte de jonction, des radiateurs, du système de surveillance et des systèmes de protection.
  • Effectuer l'examen de la conception détaillée avec toutes les fonctions transversales et s'assurer que la conception est conforme au contrat et aux directives internes.
  • Prendre en charge des mandats pour les projets de réhabilitation en utilisant des directives techniques, des revues de conception et en prenant en compte les retours d'expérience (FOE);
  • Peut préparer des calculs de conception, des spécifications techniques, supporte la préparation de dessins (avec l'aide de dessinateurs) et des listes de matériel sans supervision;
  • Collaborer avec la chaîne d'approvisionnement et l'équipe site pour respecter les échéanciers;
  • Appliquer les règles et concepts de fiabilité, qualité, sécurité et coût;
  • Collaborer avec les gestionnaires de projets et les assister pour un projet donné;
  • Collaborer avec les ingénieurs-conseil et les experts pour les retours d'expérience, la validation de la conception et l'analyse en profondeur des causes des problèmes récurrents (RCA);
  • Vulgarise les sujets techniques complexes et fourni des recommandations.


Qualifications/compétences requises :
  • Diplôme universitaire en génie électrique;
  • Membre de l'ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Bonne connaissance des systèmes auxiliaires des générateurs et des turbines hydrauliques;
  • Expérience dans la conception de schémas unifilaires bas voltage, boîtes de jonction, cabinets, câblage pour instrumentation;
  • Expérience dans la sélection d'instruments pour le monitoring et la protection de d'équipement industriel;
  • Connaissance dans les MCC, panneaux de commande,
  • 1 à 5 ans d'expérience en génie électrique;
  • Connaissance du Code canadien de l'électricité (C22.1) et du US National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA 70);
  • Capacité à voyager.
  • Anglais et français courant écrit et parlé: L'employé(e) sera amené(e) à interagir de manière fluide avec des collègues de nos autres installations à travers et/ou à l'extérieur du Canada, et qui sont généralement incapables de communiquer en français et dont la langue de travail est principalement l'anglais.
  • Vous devez accepter de vous soumettre à une vérification préalable à l'embauche, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, à une vérification des références et des antécédents;

Role:

The employee will be responsible for the design of hydro generator and turbine electrical auxiliary (Instrumentation & Electrical protection) systems and monitoring for installed based projects. He/she will also be responsible to give technical support for supply chain and site activities related to hydro generators.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

We are looking for an auxiliary system electrical lead engineer with strong design skills. As an engineer, you'll be responsible to:
  • Visiting site to collect the existing instrument, conduit routing, JB locations and protection device sizes details.
  • Study the contract, do the contract analysis, conceptual design review of the Auxiliaries Instrumentation and Protections scope of work.
  • Prepare the Electrical wiring diagrams, instrumentation list etc.
  • Can prepare design calculations, technical specifications, drawings (supported by draftsmen) and BOM's without supervision;
  • Deliver work packages to drafter for detail design for installed based projects using technical guidelines, design reviews and feedback of experience (FOE);
  • Do the Detail Design for instruments, cabling layout, Junction box, heaters, monitoring system and protections systems.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to ensure the design is executable.
  • Conduct the detail design review with all the cross function and make sure the design is inline with contract and internal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and site installation to meet milestones;
  • Apply rules and concepts for reliability, quality, safety and cost;
  • Collaborate with and assist project engineering managers for a given project;
  • Collaborate with consulting engineers and experts for FOE, design validation and root cause analysis (RCA) ;
  • Provide site support for commissioning and erection, perform site survey;
  • Evaluate and answer non-conformities reports;
  • Technical conversations with suppliers and customers;
  • Vulgarize complex technical matters and provide technical recommendations.


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (University) in Electrical engineering;
  • Member of Ordre des Ingénieurs du Quebec (OIQ) ;
  • Good knowledge of generator and turbine electrical auxiliary systems in hydro;
  • Experience in design of single-line low voltage diagrams, junction boxes, cabinets, instrumentation wiring;
  • Experience in the selection of instruments for monitoring of industrial equipment;
  • Good general knowledge of MCCs, control panels and electrical cabinets;
  • 1 - 5 years of relevant experience (after graduation);
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (C22.1) and US National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA 70);
  • Able to travel (a few short duration travels per year for inspections and follow ups) ;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and French: The employee will be required to interact fluidly with colleagues in our other facilities across and/or outside of Canada, and who are generally unable to communicate in French and whose language at work is predominantly English.
  • Allow for preliminary hiring verifications, including but without being limited to, reference verifications ;
  • Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization
