We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineer-Telecommunications to join our team at K&A Power Group in Rochester, New York. Role Expectations:
- Support all capital projects involving digitization and automation of electric operations, gas operations, Fossil Hydro Operations, Process and Technology, AMI, and Control & Automation Systems as follows:
- Project Evaluation, Feasibility and Planning reviews
- Contract reviews (non-legal)
- Monitoring of Construction progress
- Monitoring of equipment and material compliance with specifications
- Engineering design and planning reviews
- Schedule Analysis and Optimization
- Equipment Commissioning and Verification Test
- Operational and Maintenance Review
- Cost/Benefit Analysis
- General reporting to Customer on the basis of technical and business competence
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Two-Five (2-5) years of engineering experience in the functional area
- Experience with Telecom projects
- Workers at this level solve more complex problems in engineering areas of specialization with limited supervision.
- Workers are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with even greater independence.
- Effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is progressing complex and varied.
- Strong oral / written communication skills within a professional environment
- Skilled in the practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations
- In office position- must report daily to local office
Pay Range $78,000-$90,000/annually
