The Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU) enables the World Bank Group to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff working in over 150+ locations. Unit background and context:

The Digital Workplace Experience unit (ITSDX) is under the ITS Digital Workplace Department the delivers end-user technology products and services for WBG's global workforce of approximately 30,000 users across more than 100 countries. The unit is accountable for device lifecycle management, AV/VC ecosystems, and live event production, and for governing the experience quality of those services through experience level agreement (XLA) frameworks and user experience measurement. Products and services include corporate PCs, printers, and mobile devices; Audio Visual & Video Conferencing (AV/VC) systems; and live AV/VC production for high-profile organizational events.

Duties and accountabilities:

Role Purpose


The Infrastructure Engineer - AV/VC Integration is responsible for the end-to-end execution of AV/VC system integration and deployment. The focus is on execution of approved designs, ensuring systems are installed, configured, tested, and handed over in a fully operational state.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Engineer - AV/VC Integration

Site Readiness & Installation

• Conduct site assessments and validate readiness (power, rack space, cabling pathways)
• Perform AV/VC system installation, including rack builds, equipment mounting, and structured cabling
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards

System Integration & Configuration
• Configure and integrate multi-vendor AV/VC systems (control systems, DSP/audio, video distribution, UC platforms - Teams, Webex, Zoom)
• Execute end-to-end system integration aligned with approved designs

Testing, Commissioning & Acceptance
• Perform system testing and commissioning (functional validation, signal verification, performance tuning)
• Validate interoperability across platforms
• Produce commissioning reports and ensure systems meet acceptance criteria

Documentation & Handover
• Develop as-built documentation, configuration records, and cable schedules
• Conduct knowledge transfer and formal handover to operations teams
• Secure acceptance and sign-off documentation

Deployment Support & Operations Readiness
• Troubleshoot integration and deployment issues
• Support deployments across HQ and country offices
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
• Support post-deployment validation and stabilization

Continuous Improvement
• Develop repeatable integration procedures and playbooks
• Capture lessons learned to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Support knowledge transfer from vendors to strengthen in-house capability

Deliverables
• Fully installed and operational AV/VC systems
• Commissioning and acceptance test reports
• As-built documentation and configuration records
• Formal handover and operational sign-off documentation
• RCA reports and deployment improvement actions
• Integration procedures and execution playbooks

Selection Criteria

Minimum Education/Experience
• Master's degree with 5 years of experience or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on AV/VC integration and deployment experience
• Experience with installation, configuration, commissioning, and system handover
• Strong knowledge of AV platforms (Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, DSPs) and UC platforms (Teams, Webex, Zoom)
• Understanding of AV/network integration and system lifecycle execution
• Experience working in multi-vendor environments

Recommended Certifications• CTS-I and Agile/Safe as preferred
