Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize IT infrastructure that supports business-critical applications and services. The ideal candidate will have expertise in server administration, virtualization, networking, cloud infrastructure, storage, security, and automation. You will work closely with system administrators, cloud engineers, DevOps teams, and security professionals to ensure the availability, performance, and security of enterprise infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities - Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
- Manage on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, availability, and security.
- Implement infrastructure automation using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Configure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, networking, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Collaborate with cloud, security, DevOps, and application teams to support production systems.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, cloud engineering, or IT operations.
- Strong experience administering Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Nutanix AHV.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Experience with storage technologies including SAN, NAS, and backup solutions.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
- Experience with Git and Infrastructure as Code tools.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), Group Policy, DNS, and identity management.
- Experience with enterprise security, endpoint management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT service management tools.
