JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Infrastructure Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, youdevelop knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Through this work you begin to apply your proficiency in a single application or technical methodology.


Job responsibilities

  • Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met
  • Drives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completion
  • Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters
  • Escalates issues to appropriate leaders
  • Develops considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and documentation (e.g., summarizing monitoring findings), validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
  • Broad infrastructure fundamentals: hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment/integration practices, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessment.
  • Depth in at least one infrastructure technology plus moderate scripting proficiency (e.g., Python/scripting).
  • Cloud experience with ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
  • Baseline breadth: basic technical knowledge across additional domains, plus basic data fluency and automation.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC).
  • Strong wireless design/operations: architecture & design, SSID/VLAN mapping, RF optimization, and authentication (802.1X, NAC concepts).
  • Delivery and troubleshooting: wireless deployment/migration experience and ability to troubleshoot connectivity/performance issues; familiarity with Juniper Mist and Cisco ISE; advanced English.
  • Working knowledge of using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following security and data handling expectations.
