Full Job Description
Position Summary:

This job is responsible for tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Key responsibilities include creating infrastructure tools and their integration as a service, facilitating deployment of technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. Job expectations include looking for opportunities to improve efficiency when implementing and maintaining tools/services and embracing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

The Active Directory Infrastructure Operations (ADIO) team is seeking an experienced AD Subject Matter Expert to design, install, and maintain a large-scale corporate Active Directory backup and restore environment. This role requires deep expertise in AD authentication services and infrastructure, with a focus on resiliency and recovery.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies and assists Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
  • Assists with translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
  • Assists in the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
  • Conducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption
  • Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains
  • Install and configure Hyper-V (standalone and clustered), Cohesity, and RMADDRE across the AMRS region
  • Build and maintain AD backup and restore infrastructure
  • Provide expert-level support for AD authentication services across multi-domain and cross-forest environments
  • Diagnose and resolve complex authentication and authorization issues
  • Perform root cause analysis, manage defect remediation, and coordinate code deployments
  • Automate operational tasks using PowerShell or similar scripting tools
  • Support AD services in DMZ and secure network environments
  • Adhere to ITIL best practices for change, incident, and problem management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years supporting AD authentication services in enterprise environments
  • Active Directory ECI Restoral
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory infrastructure, Windows Server 2019/2022, and virtualization with Hyper-V
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Quest Recovery Manager for Active Directory
  • Cohesity Data Protect and Helios
  • Immutable storage concepts
  • AD troubleshooting tools (DCDiag, Netdiag, Repadmin, DFRSdiag)
  • AD DNS, DHCP, DFS
  • Proficiency in PowerShell automation
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (subnetting, VLANs)
  • Solid understanding of security practices: Kerberos, NTLM, ADFS, MFA
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage and virtualization technologies (SCVMM/Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to support off-hours implementations as needed

Pay range

$104,200.00 - $155,300.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
