Full Job Description
Plante Moran Realpoint, LLC (PMR) is seeking a visionary and experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical experience leading infrastructure projects through design and construction. Based out of our Southfield, MI office, this role will work on-site with clients 2-3 days per week and may require overnight travel of up to 30%. Your role. Your work will include, but not be limited to: • Plan project logistics, including vendor contracting strategy, internal team responsibilities, and overall project structure in partnership with clients. • Lead multiple projects of varying scope and scale simultaneously. • Apply knowledge of legal and financing impacts to project structure. • Identify and resolve project risk factors, including AHJ requirements, design and engineering management, and construction means and methods. • Manage multiple vendors to ensure contractual obligations are met and assist with prioritization of activities. • Procure construction and supplemental vendor services required for full project execution. • Coordinate and monitor vendor activities for compliance with contractual responsibilities. • Drive client engagement throughout the overall program and facilitate decision-making. • Monitor budgets, schedules, and project risks, and facilitate issue resolution. • Ensure implementation and compliance with P&M and PMR policies, procedures, and internal reporting requirements. • Participate in and lead team development through mentoring, coaching, and performance support. The qualifications. • Engineering Degree, Architecture Degree, or Construction Management Degree from an accredited college or university • 10-15 years of building, design, and construction experience in the following areas: project management, construction administration or construction field management • Experience working for an Owner's Facility Team or as a consultant is preferred • Construction field experience on large-scale infrastructure work and knowledge of construction best practices are required. • Understanding of the design process that drives scope and budget development is desirable. • Construction cost estimating experience is desirable • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or estimating experience is desirable • Experience with vertical construction, high density or high profile projects is desirable • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and/or Primavera Scheduling Software; Familiarity with BIM • Qualified individuals must either reside in or near the Metro Detroit area or be willing to relocate to these areas for this opportunity; Frequent travel throughout the region, with approximately 30% overnight travel. This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week. We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.
