THE WORK:- You'll lead end-to-end development of responses to requests for information, qualifications, quotations, and proposals (collectively, RFx), including resumes, project descriptions, brochures, proposals, presentations, interview materials, shortlist presentations, and other marketing assets, while ensuring brand alignment, quality standards, and compliance with pursuit processes.
- You'll manage multiple concurrent pursuits, prioritize competing deadlines, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- You'll review solicitation documents to identify compliance requirements, evaluation criteria, submission instructions, risks, required forms, and key deadlines.
- You'll develop and manage pursuit schedules, responsibility matrices, review milestones, content plans, and production timelines in collaboration with technical leadership and supervisors to ensure materials are completed, reviewed, and submitted on time.
- You'll facilitate kickoff meetings to confirm pursuit strategy, win themes, differentiators, team roles, schedule expectations, and decision points.
- You'll support competitive analyses and winning strategy development to improve the firm's likelihood of successful project awards.
- You'll coordinate with business development leaders, technical teams, and other subject matter experts to gather and refine proposal content.
- You'll write, edit, and organize proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, persuasive messaging, client focus, brand alignment, and compliance with requirements.
- You'll contribute to pre-proposal efforts, including targeted marketing campaigns, strategic advertising or social media initiatives, public relations support, and collateral development that advance business development activities
- You'll conduct stage-gate proposal reviews and approval checkpoints to ensure compliance with proposal requirements.
- You'll oversee final production, quality control, packaging, and electronic or physical submission of pursuit deliverables.
- You'll direct the quality and success of bids, ensuring proposals meet compliance requirements, reflect win strategy, and present the firm's qualifications effectively.
- You'll track pursuit milestones, submission outcomes, debrief findings, shortlist results, win/loss trends, and lessons learned to improve future proposal performance.
- You'll maintain and improve proposal tools, templates, boilerplate content, pursuit checklists, review protocols, and best-practice resources.
- You'll promote consistent proposal processes, accountability, quality standards, and continuous improvement across the pursuit team.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'll NEED:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree considered
- 6 years of experience in proposal or pursuit management within the AEC industry or a comparable professional services environment
- 6 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- 3 years of experience with collaboration platforms such as SharePoint or Microsoft Teams in a proposal workflow context
- 3 years of experience producing proposal and marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite; InDesign proficiency highly preferred, with working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:- Proven track record managing high-complexity, strategic pursuits end-to-end
- Experience contributing to competitive analysis, win strategy development, and client intelligence gathering to improve pWin
- Working familiarity with CRM and proposal management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Deltek); ability to maintain and update opportunity records independently
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff, set expectations, and coach contributors through proposal processes
- Experience facilitating kickoff meetings, leading proposal review sessions, and driving team accountability across distributed pursuit teams
- Strong change management instincts - able to identify process gaps, propose improvements, and implement workflow enhancements in collaboration with leadership
$65,000 - $115,000 a year
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
