Responsibilities

  • Conduct bid evaluations and negotiate costs with suppliers.
  • Manage the post-contract process and oversee project changes.
  • Prepare various documents including reports, contracts, and risk assessments.
  • Advise managers and clients on strategic improvements for cost efficiency.
  • Monitor the allocation of internal resources during the pre-contract process.
  • Attend and facilitate client meetings to ensure follow-through on actions.

Job Description:

  • Develop a detailed cost plan with the client, including understanding site layout, conditions, and constraints.


  • Review and present cost Estimates/Cost Plan as required.


  • Prepare detailed estimates and cost plans.


  • Report to senior leadership on current estimated cost vs. budget.


  • Perform bid evaluations and cost negotiations.


  • Manage the post-contract process.


  • Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents.


  • Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.


  • Record any changes in design and update budgets.


  • Prepare and present high-level Cost Advice as required.


  • Oversee the Pre-contract Process and monitor the allocation of internal resources.


  • Attend Client meetings as Soben leads and ensure actions are executed post-meeting.


Minimum Requirements:

Must have a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the Cost Management industry.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Applying relevant construction technologies and trends including sustainability to advise on appropriate options and cost implications;


  • Preparing and reviewing cost reports and reporting on the financial impacts to make informed decisions utilizing CMiC, MS-Excel or Procure;


  • Preparing cost budgets and plans utilizing MS-Excel or CostX for project execution;


  • Experience working with construction contracts;


  • Implementing Earned Value Management on projects; and


  • Reviewing and negotiating change orders and proposals.


Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.

$180,282 - $190,282 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
