Position Description: We are seeking an Infrastructure Automation Specialist to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions for our IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for developing tools and processes that improve the efficiency, consistency, and reliability of infrastructure operations.
Working closely with infrastructure, operations, security, architecture, and cloud teams, you will automate deployments, standardize processes, and support ongoing operational requirements.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance automation tools, scripts, and workflows.
Automate the deployment and management of virtual infrastructure.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Build and support CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or equivalent tools.
Develop automation using PowerShell and Python.
Identify opportunities to improve and automate operational processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation and infrastructure deployments.
Participate in system deployments, upgrades, patching, and change implementation.
Ensure automation solutions meet operational, performance, and security requirements, including vulnerability remediation.
Work with infrastructure, cloud, security, and architecture teams to implement automation solutions.
Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 2-4 years of experience in infrastructure automation, DevOps, systems administration, or software development.
Bilingual (French/English)
Strong experience with PowerShell.
Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
Experience developing automation using Python.
Experience with CI/CD tools, including GitLab or equivalent.
Understanding of DevOps practices and automation principles.
Knowledge of routing and switching technologies (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience).
Experience with firewall technologies, including Fortinet and Cisco.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Experience supporting virtualized infrastructure environments.
Experience working with cloud technologies.
Knowledge of infrastructure security and vulnerability management.
Experience working in enterprise IT environments.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000-$110,000. This role is a future opportunity.
