POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Information Technology Trainer, Legal Industry at K2 Services, you will support leading law firms by developing and delivering high-quality training across a range of technology applications and provide exceptional training experiences for their end users. This role is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm in leveraging IT applications critical to legal operations. Working in conjunction with broader K2 and client resources, these efforts support various firm-facing initiatives such as on-going educational programs, specific project deployments, and new hire on-boarding.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities for this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
  • Develop, customize, and deliver effective training sessions tailored to legal professionals, covering core technology and productivity tools, new hire onboarding, continuous skill development, and training aligned with IT initiatives.
  • Create training courses and design professional training resources including eLearning, quick reference guides, reference manuals, and microlearning videos.
  • Utilize instructional design processes with analysis, design, development, implemented implementation, to evaluation (ADDIE model).
  • Serve as a key contributor in firmwide IT deployments, including testing of new software and laptop images, collaborating with engineers to troubleshoot issues, and providing end-user support and training.
  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify skill gaps and propose targeted learning solutions.
  • Facilitate multiple simultaneous training projects, balancing deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Provide ongoing training recommendations to stakeholders to align with business needs and user proficiency.
  • Track and report on training effectiveness, including user feedback and system adoption metrics.
  • Manage training administration, such as registration, records, and communications, while promoting upcoming learning opportunities.
  • Handle the administration of the client's Learning Management System.
  • Provide end-user support as appropriate for software related questions.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficiency in desktop productivity software and systems commonly found in professional services/law firm environments, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Kofax Power PDF, MS Teams, Copilot
  • Proficiency preferred in use of typical remote access technologies (VPN, virtual desktops) and service management/ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Knowledge of the common practices, procedures, and techniques used in the legal practice.
  • Experience with adult learning principles and training approaches.
  • Experience with authoring and video creation software (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia or Adobe Captivate).
  • Proficiency in using virtual training platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.).
  • Possess strong writing and presentation skills, excellent communication abilities, and an attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish good rapport with client.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.

Education:

Bachelor's in Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or Informational Systems.

Certifications: Credentials / Certifications: Microsoft Office/M365 and iManage Work 10 preferred. ITIL certification a plus.
