You will play a crucial part in automating software build processes and supporting development teams across multiple high-impact programs. [Responsibilities] - Design, develop, and maintain automation utilities and infrastructure for system builds. - Support and enhance CI/CD build pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and optimize workflow efficiency. - Collaborate with software development teams to integrate, support, and debug software deliveries. - Create and maintain configuration and automation frameworks to streamline software integration. - Attend daily scrums, sprint reviews, and technical demos, actively resolving team impediments. - Contribute to the modernization of legacy scripts, converting them into maintainable Python code. [Required Skills and Experience] - Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of professional programming experience in Python. - 3+ years working with the Linux/Unix command line. - At least 5 years utilizing software configuration management tools such as Git, Artifactory, Nexus. [Preferred Skills] - Proficient with GitLab CI/CD; capable of running pipelines and resolving basic failures. - Experience with Docker containers and foundational knowledge of Kubernetes deployment. - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming; able to develop reusable, class-based code. - Familiarity with the code compilation process and development of modular, scalable solutions. - Experience converting legacy scripts (e.g., Perl) to Python.
