Full Job Description
Kestra is seeking a talented and motivated Test Engineer to join our dynamic Advisor Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript for a Microsoft stack (Azure, C# .NET, SQL Server/Cosmos DB) with React and ASP.NET front ends, collaborating closely with software engineers, product owners, and QA teammates to ensure the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge financial advisor platform - software that supports financial advisors and the Home Office staff who serve them.

What you'll Do:
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test cases for web applications using Playwright and TypeScript, helping the team ship with confidence.
  • Develop and maintain SQL scripts for test data setup and validation.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, continuous feedback on every code change.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA team members, and product owners to understand requirements and shape test strategies that catch issues early.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and communicate findings clearly to the team.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback related to testability and quality.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of test frameworks, tools, and processes to raise the bar for quality across the platform.
  • Document automation approaches and test coverage to support team knowledge sharing and onboarding.
  • Support manual and exploratory testing efforts as needed.
  • Monitor test suite health - track pass rates, flakiness trends, and execution times - and flag regressions to the team before they compound.
  • Share testing knowledge with teammates through pairing, documentation, and onboarding support to strengthen the team's overall test engineering capability.
  • Stay current with emerging test tools, frameworks, and industry practices; apply new techniques to improve automation quality and coverage.
  • Uphold core values (Make it Happen, One Team, Serve) in daily interactions and delivery commitments.

What You Bring:

  • Typically 3-7 years experience developing automated tests for web applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
