Full Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to join our team. This position is onsite in Lexington Park, MD.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting with the development, maintenance, and oversight of the Information System (IS) security program and baseline policies for assigned systems and enclaves
  • Supporting systems through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process by drafting Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation, System Security Plans (SSPs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
  • Tracking continuous monitoring strategies and data feeds to ensure system security postures remain compliant and effective against emerging threats
  • Participating in vulnerability monitoring, basic auditing workflows, and remediation logging efforts using automated compliance and scanning tools
  • Supporting investigations into security anomalies and incidents while collaborating with multidisciplinary, multiservice, and multiagency teams
  • Assisting with cybersecurity awareness coordination, system user training tracking, and professional documentation delivery across the organization
  • Providing input to the Change Control Board (CCB) process to log and review system modifications, ensuring they do not degrade the baseline security posture


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant Information Systems Security experience; with at least 6 years of that experience in DoD Cybersecurity and RMF
  • Must have a DoD Cyberspace Workforce computing certification (i.e CISSP, SSCP or similar)
  • Must possess a CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and applicable Risk Management Framework tools


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in related field
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate ICDs/JAFANs/DOD/DOW Manuals and other guiding policy documents


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or technical equipment.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $104,200.00-$172,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
