Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in the
Fort Meade, Maryland area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Participate as a primary security engineering representative on integrated teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
- Design, develop, implement, and evaluate Information Assurance (IA) architectures, systems, and system components.
- Apply thorough knowledge of Information Assurance policy, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and security engineering best practices to build resilient secure computing environments.
- Interact directly with customer stakeholders and multi-disciplinary project team members to drive security alignment throughout the system engineering lifecycle.
- Support the Government in enforcing the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
- Provide comprehensive security planning, vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and risk management while identifying overall security requirements for Government data.
- Perform system and network designs across multiple enclaves and recommend robust solutions to resolve complex security requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (4 years of additional ISSE experience may substitute for a degree).
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) or in related information security or engineering roles.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:- Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST guidelines) and guiding systems through review boards.
- Practical experience or familiarity with data protection methods, identity management, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), or cryptography.
Clearance Requirements:- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $141,500.00-$236,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
