About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Information Security Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA
What you will accomplish: Job Duties: Perform operational review and analytics of technical systems across the company. Utilize technological experience with data security, application security, and SPLC (Secure Product Life Cycle), SAST (Static Application Security Testing)/DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing); and operating systems security concepts, Kernel components (i.e., Linux, BSD, Solaris, AIX, or HP/UX), and cloud computing. Evaluate partner and third-party systems for adequate design and protection against current and predicted vulnerabilities. Report sophisticated data security concepts to partners, other specialists, and company leaders, with recommendations for enhancements and best practices. Help application developers accurately use database encryption techniques and technologies. Work with peers and leaders around the company to set, and then implement the vision for security applications. Apply software development skills and the ability to code in one or more of Java, Python, Kotlin/Swift. Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of various market segments and best-of-breed security strategies. Work across eBay with fellow architects, senior staff, principal engineers, product management, and other partners to define the technical roadmap for the product(s) in response to customer requirements and market forces.

What you will bring:Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
- Experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using Object-Oriented Design and Java (2 years)
- Experience with performing Mobile application testing - DAST (Dynamic Application Security testing) & SAST (Static Application Security Testing) (2 years)
- Experience conducting Traffic Analysis using Charles Proxy, Proxyman, and in-house tools on Mobile application security (2 years)
- Experience with Mobile deployments, services, and applications across multiple platforms (1 year)
- Experience in automation and scripting, contributing to process optimization, efficiency improvements, and support for continuous integration and deployment workflow (1 year)
Salary: $169,576-229,600.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional DetailsBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
