What You Will Do Provide leadership and oversight as a Team Leader (TL) for the Information Management Group (IM). The Information Management Group resides within the Program Strategy and Execution Division (PSE), under the Associate Level Directorate for Business Management (ALDBUS).
Team Leaders are key members of the leadership team responsible for supporting the group's strategic direction, providing oversight of Group/Team initiatives, collaborating with group leadership, and fostering strong relationships with customers and cross-organizational partners. They promote a strong culture of safety, security, and ethics while supporting the Group Office with additional duties as assigned. The Team Leader serves as the first-line manager, providing direction and oversight to the team, engaging with customer organizations, ensuring the development and implementation of compliant Document Control and Records Management (DCRM) programs, and supporting group and division goals and objectives. The ideal candidate is positive, forward-thinking, and proactive in identifying opportunities to modernize and improve processes and procedures.
The selected candidate will lead a team of Information Specialist professionals responsible for document control and records management deployed to various organizations at LANL. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing information in an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS)
- Managing critical business processes and workflows in a work management system
- Strategic planning to support stakeholders, customers, and staff members
- Collaborating with customers and internal/external partners to support Information Management tools and applications
- Collaboration with the Group Office, internal customers, stakeholders, and peer organizations to achieve alignment between institutional priorities and allocation of resources
- Managing the information lifecycle process, including imitation, review, and issuance of documents
- Governance and operational control of the information lifecycle process, including initiation, review, and issuance of documents to ensure accuracy, accessibility, security, and compliance.
- Manage and oversee Information Management service delivery, including Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance and compliance
- Team leadership and oversight, including workforce planning, financial forecasting and management, staff capability development, succession planning, personnel management, and maintaining a safe and secure workplace.

Information Management (IM)
Advanced knowledge of Information Management program principles, techniques, standards, and requirements to effectively manage document control and records management functions across complex institutional programs and projects. Demonstrated experience assessing Information Management programs for compliance and implementation effectiveness, identifying and developing process improvements or corrective action plans, and conducting research to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions for issues affecting Information Management processes and procedures.
Stakeholder Management
Proven ability to build and leverage strategic relationships and networks with key stakeholders, including Information Management leaders, employees, IT staff, customer organizations, and senior management. Demonstrated capability to provide guidance and support to customer organizations on Information Management practices, institutional IT tools supporting Document Control and Records Management, and process improvement initiatives. Experience ensuring Document Control and Records Management programs, tools, and strategies effectively integrate with operational and institutional requirements.
Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field from an accredited institution and 3 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. Desired Qualifications: - Experience implementing Federal contractual requirements such as National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) 36 CFR Chapter 12, Subchapter B, DOE Orders 243.1A, 243.2 and 414.1D into governing plans, procedures, systems, and practices.
- Experience working in a matrixed or deployed organization.
- Experience in process management and process improvement systems, tools, and methodologies
- Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment
- Familiarity with Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, Change Control, Quality Control/NQA-1

Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
