We are hiring a full-time temporary Information Management Coordinator position for up to 11 months working out of Edmonton, AB.

As an Information Management Coordinator, you will help ensure your team has the right information, in the right place, at the right time. You will help ensure that the information storage, collaboration, and document management needs of EPCOR Water Services are effectively supported while meeting compliance and governance requirements.

In this role, you will contribute to the planning, design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing improvement of SharePoint Online (SPO) solutions and related processes. You will help create effective document control practices, support strong information management, and make it easier for teams to access and collaborate on unstructured information and business records. Your work will play an important role in helping teams stay organized, efficient, and connected.

What you'd be responsible for

  • Providing input into EPCOR Technologies and Water PMO plans and priorities while maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of assigned work and achieving results against established performance measures.
  • Supporting the gathering, analysis, and documentation of document control, information management, storage, and collaboration requirements through workshops and interviews with stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of SharePoint Online (SPO) solutions, including controlled document management processes and hub-and-spoke architectures.
  • Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and SharePoint Site Owners to classify, organize, remediate, and migrate content in alignment with business, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Configuring and enhancing SharePoint Online environments, information architecture, metadata structures, permissions, and workflows to support secure collaboration and effective information management, including quality maintenance (e.g. naming conventions, version controls).
  • Configuring Power Automate workflows to support document routing, approvals, periodic reviews, and change control notifications.
  • Developing training materials, guidance, and best practices for SharePoint Online administrators and users.
  • Ensuring compliance with records retention requirements, regulatory obligations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Documenting governance roles and procedures for site administration and controlled document management


What's required to be successful

  • A diploma in Business, Information Management, Library/Information Science, Engineering Technology, or related field from a recognized post-secondary institute is required
  • Experience in Business Analysis with a focus on document and records management, quality or engineering standards, and Microsoft 365/SharePoint Online (SPO)
  • 2+ years of information management experience is required
  • 2+ years of experience building SPO sites for both controlled documents and team collaboration is required
  • Experience in delivering successful process improvements
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio, and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated extensive understanding of and proficiency with SPO
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Power Automate within SPO
  • Experience with designing Power BI reporting would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of records management and compliance frameworks would be considered an asset
